Wanderlust, of my favourites. I love how beautifully

Wanderlust, by definition, is a strong desire to travel. According to my “Been” app, I’ve only seen 2% of the World! The “Been” app keeps track of the countries/states you have visited. It visualises the visited countries both as a list and as a world map. I recommend it. Why travelling is my passionSince I can remember, I’ve wanted to explore the world.

I know everyone claims this exact statement, but how many of us fulfil our dreams? Money is obviously a big factor, but if you are passionate about travelling, you’ll find a way of making that happen. This urge stems from wanting to see the world through my own and much wider lens. I want to explore unknown places and see it for myself and not just through pictures.

There is so much more to life than just the scenery outside our living room window.Recently, I’ve discovered that I love reading travel-related books. They’re all so inspiring and give you serious wanderlust! Currently, the book I am reading ‘Love With a Chance of Drowning’ by Torre DeRoche, is one of my favourites. I love how beautifully detailed she describes each place and the people she met along the way. I want to follow in her footsteps. I’d highly recommend this book to anyone who has a strong desire to travel the world.

If there’s one thing I’ve learnt through reading plenty of travel-related books and listening to close friends/family members adventures, it’s how travelling offers up a whole bunch of experiences. It provides you with the opportunity to learn about the world’s different cultures, people, places and food. Another point I read/hear is how travelling changes you, for the better. It alters your perspective on life, and it can help you grow. I want to travel for all these reasons too.

I want to meet new people, all around the world. Meeting people who have different ethnicities, socioeconomic status and are from different countries, it can be an eye-opening experience. It’s learning how their life can be completely different from ours. For me, it’s also about learning. I want to learn new cultures. I want to know what it is like living abroad.

I want to learn about myself and who I am from these eye-opening experiences. Both me and Joe have a world map decorating our bedroom wall, filled with red pins of everywhere we want to visit together. Our life goal, to change all those ‘red’ pins into ‘white’ pins because that will mean we will have a story to tell about that particular place. At the moment, we’re preparing for a trip of a lifetime which I cannot wait to share with you all.
