During the late 19th century there was a party called the know-nothing. Then during that time the americans started calling the asians that immigrated to america the yellow peril. The yellow peril means that people think that the chinese and that japanese are coming here to take the americans resources and going to take over america because of the large amount of asians coming here. Now we’re going to be talking about the third wave.So between 1880 and 1930 the people that immigrated here were the chinese and the europeans. The reason why now that a lot more people are coming to the united states were because steam powered boats made them faster to travel to america. The push factors from the third wave were High population growth in Southern and Eastern Europe.Lack of jobs and food.
