Sanitation is one way on keeping the place or things clean.
According to Meriam-Webster (1828) “It is the promotion of hygiene and prevention of disease by maintenance of sanitary conditions.” But what if the restroom is not sanitized properly?Nationwide cleaners (2018) states that “The restrooms are, without a doubt, the biggest concern when it comes to building maintenance and cleanliness. Studies have shown that bacteria and viruses originating in an unsanitized restroom can make their way throughout the building, spreading illness and infection to its inhabitants.
“Cablong, P. (n.d.) stated that “Comfort room is one of the most important parts of the school.
In the first place the comfort room was in a good conditioned and enough water. Few days of class, because of undisciplined students the comfort become dirty and a lot of vandalism of bad thoughts. One of the problems, same of girls is being irresponsible about the proper disposal of their napkins etc.”Pappas, S.
(2016) cited that Gilbert, J. (n.d.) “People bring a lot of bacteria into bathrooms, the researchers found. Within an hour of normal use, there were 500,000 bacteria cells per square inch on the bathroom surfaces, on average.
“There are many bacteria that can cause diseases. According to Socorro, S. (n.d.) “Staphylococcus is a type of bacteria that causes staph infections. The bacteria can usually be found on door handles, showers, and in the vicinity of the toilet and sink.
Strep throat is caused by streptococci bacteria. The bacteria released dangerous toxins and enzymes that can lead to necrotizing fasciitis and toxic shock syndrome. Gastrointestinal viruses are stomach sickness that can be caused by bacteria in the bathroom, surfaces of toilets and sink counters. Escherichia coli or E. coli and salmonella can be found in bathrooms and can cause similar stomach ailments.”
