.108Model of Dual Rotor……………………………………………119Business Model Canvas…………………………………………13AbstractThe objective of this paper is to propose an efficient, low cost and rugged design of medium sized gearless permanent magnet stator-less contra-rotation wind power generator. The earlier models of such medium sized generators, capable of generating less than one megawatt electric power, are facing huge mechanical losses due to wear and tear in the tightly coupled mechanical gear system. Due to this heavy arrangement in its mechanical assembly, the earlier design and its prototype could not function with high efficiency. The proposed design focuses on the performance of the model using the concept of stator-less dual rotor arrangement in the generator. The design was tested at various wind speeds and directions and the performance of the proposed permanent magnet machine has been experimented.

The results of this sustainable and renewable model and design were compared with those of the existing models to promote green energy systems in the future.1.1Problem SummaryEfficiency of convention wind turbine is low.

Conventional wind turbine produces more noise.Separate yawing system is required.Power production for a specific area is low.Cut in velocity of Conventional wind turbine is high.1.2Aim and Objective of ProjectIn power generation world, the main aim is how to generate maximum power from different types of energy sources like conventional type energy sources, non-conventional type energy sources.

Non-conventional type energy sources include solar power, biogas, tidal power, geo thermal power and wind power. To generate power using of wind is the great way because wind is available in huge amount in all over world. By using of wind mill, we can generate power from wind energy.Generally the wind mills are of single rotor type but here in our project we’ll make dual rotor type wind mill. Because of dual rotor, the wind which is passes from first rotor that can be used for second rotor and power generation can be increased.

The main reason is that a single rotor can’t be designed to achieve large changes in velocity. So here we introduced the multiple rotor either in tandem (one after one) or in opposite direction to convert maximum energy of wind into electrical energy to generate the power. The goal of our project is to determine the feasibility of improving wind energy conversion efficiency by utilizing a dual rotor wind turbine system.”Dual Rotor Wind Turbine Generator” is accomplished in concern according to new generation technologies in renewable energy sources for green and clean energy generation. Such technology includes a rotatable drive shaft, a first rotor assembly connected to drive shaft, a second independently rotating rotor assembly coupled to the drive shaft rearward to the first rotor assembly.

People of that village are blessed with their work in the field of farming. But there was big problem of electricity.

All farmers of that village were not so much happy with the electricity that government provided. So, we thought that we had to put one Dual Rotor Wind Turbine Generator in that village. After putting this all farmers are happy & they start to produce very high amount of production. Happy Story:-There was a one person whose name is Dharmik. He constructed one future-city. In that future city he needed electricity.

So, he wants too many dealers for providing electricity. He also asked government to give electricity in his city. But no one helped him. He was very depressed. But one day he talked to his brother whose name is Hiren about his problem. So, Hiren decided to help his brother putting Dual Rotor Wind Turbine Generator.Sad Story:-During this project many problems occurred.

There was a village whose production is very good. People of that village were very calm and lots of patience. But they all are very depressed about electricity that government provided. Children can’t read at night, patient who were admitted in hospitals also face many problems. All the villagers were very sad.Sad Story:-There was a city. Many people were staying in that city.

Near that city there was a big factory. That factory provides much type of household products. They also produce good quality type of products. But they can’t afford electricity bill. Due to more electricity bills, production of that factory decreases. At last, owner of that factory have to close his factory.

2.1 Model of the proposed systemIt is to propose a low cost model and design of gear-less permanent magnet stator-less dual rotor wind power generator (PMSLCRWPG). It is possible to design it as stand-alone model for low power applications like domestic use in remote areas, such as highly isolated locations like hilly areas, where it is not possible to transmit the electricity through overhead lines or underground cables. This type of wind power generation has low production cost. Therefore, this model is viable for implementing in large scale electricity generation for meeting high power requirements.

This model has capable to generate economical and efficient power than a single rotor type wind electric generation system. Also, it can produce power approximately twice that of a single rotor power generation. The per unit generation cost of five types (including now under consideration) of power generating plants like hydro, thermal, nuclear, wind power and PMSLCRWPG based system are shown in the table I. In case of PMSLCRWPG power generation cost is very low compared to other types and hence, it is more economical than other types of power plants.2.2 Design of the wind millMost of wind turbines in the world are single rotor systems, which provide simplicity and reliability.

From many years, improvements or changes in this single rotor system introduced to some factor. For example, gears with reduced noise and alternators have better electrical efficiency. However, despite these improvements, single rotor systems are not capable to convert total wind energy into electrical energy. Practical wind turbines convert less than 30% of the wind energy into electrical energy.

Hence, nearly 50% of the wind energy escapes without being harnessed or without converting into electrical energy.Simple design of single rotor and dual rotor wind turbine generator is as shown in figure-1 (a) & (b) respectively.4.

2 Key activities:Manufacturing unitIt is made different departments which produce the product by different steps.Testing unitIt is a unit in which testing of product is done. It is helpful to maintain quality of product.Commissioning unitIt is a process of assuring that all systems and components of a wind-mill are designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements.Government & Private SectorsThis provides services like tender, contract, land permission.R&D departmentThis department is helpful to develop product as per future technology. It takes review of products to the customer and upgrade product with new features.4.

3 Key resources:FinanceIt is the main part through this we can buy electronics & mechanical components, and through the developed production department buy new stuff.Row materialIt is a material which can be converted into a product by process on it. Machines and toolsMultimeter, tester, control panel are used to process our material into useful product.Safety equipmentIt must require in any company. It is like switch gear for safety of instruments, fire safety, first aid box etc5.

1 AdvantagesEfficiency is higher than single rotor wind turbine generator. It reduces bending stress on the tower because both rotors counterbalance eachother. The output of this model is equivalent to the output produced by two single rotor generator, so it will be economical to construct two single rotor generators.5.

2 DisadvantagesComplicated construction than single rotor wind turbine.Due to complicated construction, maintenance is difficult. It requires more wind speed than single rotor so, it only constructed where wind speed is very high.5.3 ApplicationFor small scale power supply like; Commercial Complex, Small Scale Industries, Residential Apartments and Villas, Educational Institutions and Hostels. It can be used for pumping waterIt can be more useful to solve power problems- specially at remote areas and hilly areas.CONCLUSIONFinally from this project we have concluded that our new idea will change the current system and also it will help to improve in generation of electricity.

Our idea will give better service. Dual rotor wind turbine generator is new technology of wind generation. From the design of this dual rotor wind turbine generator, the production of electricity is more efficiently. In future we will also try to add more features in this design.
