It’s like HTC could see the future, but couldn’t quite grasp it.
The company shouldn’t ignore the potential benefit of tablet industry because HTC has many advantages in smartphone industry which similar to advantages in tablet industry. I think, Mr. Chou and Mrs. Wang should develop research groups for studying the market and customers.
They could predict the growing power of smartphones and tablets among the young generation and business world. They should work hard to make their brand name recognizable. Or as another option, instead of focusing on their own brand name and company, they should think about acquisition in alliance with another strong company, like it was done by Google and Motorola and Microsoft and Nokia.
