Inside I’m Dancing In this essay I am going to advise and inform you of many things concerning the health and the caring of individuals in health and social care There are many sectors I will be explaining, are; the principles of support are applied to ensure that individuals are cared for in health and social care practice, the procedure for protecting clients, patients, and colleagues from harm, the benefit of following a person-centered approach with users of health and social care services, the ethical dilemmas and conflict that may arise when providing care, support and protection to users of health and social care services, the implementation of policies, legislation, the regulations and codes of practice that are relevant to own work in health and social care, how local policies and procedures can be developed in accordance with national and police, requirements, the impact of policy, legislation, regulation, and codes of practice on organizational policy and practice, the theories that underpin health and social care Practice, how social processes impact on users of health and social care services, the effectiveness of inter-professional working own role, responsibilities, accountabilities and duties in the context of working with those within and outside the health and social care workplace, own contribution to the development and implementation of health and social care organizational policy, and lastly, the recommendations to develop own contributions.

The principles aim to encourage care workers to identify and reflect upon the dignity in the provision of all care services and to commit to upholding the dignity of those they support. Principles of support are: Principle 1: Value the uniqueness of every individual. This regulation ensures that every individual is cared for in the health and social care sector as it introduces open-mindedness and promotes understanding and acceptance.

Principle 2: Uphold the responsibility to outline care and support services around each individual. This principle portrays the importance of responsibility and maturity, since it states that you should uphold responsibility if you want to uphold your caring in health and social care. Principle 3: Value communicating with individuals in ways that are meaningful to them. This is a clear rule in the workplace because it has many benefits in the communication part.

Effective communication in the workplace plays a prominent role in developing long lasting employee motivation. One of many positive benefits gained from communication is improved relationships. clients appreciate good communication coming from management. Principle 4: Recognize and respect how an individual’s dignity may be affected when supported with their personal care.

S, 2012) Principle 5: Recognize that an individual’s surroundings and environments are important to their sense of dignity. This principle is pivotal because it outlines that the environment that the client is surrounded by plays a crucial part in the adaptation or the comfortability of the client.

Principle 6: Value workplace cultures that actively promote the dignity of everybody. This regulation is pivotal because it links to the equality act. The equality act sates that you have to treat everyone the same, whether it’s culture or age, color or ethnicity, employees should always have open acceptance for all cultures. Principle 7: Recognize the need to challenge care that may reduce the dignity of the individual.

This rule emphasizes the importance of confidence in health and social care and how confidence improves your knowledge and your importance in the workplace. The principles of support are hugely important as it highlights the general idea of how to work with patients, and, also emphasizes the rules and regulations you need to follow if working with clients in health and social care. Adult abuse can occur in many different settings and situations, and it can be a very complex area of work.

There have been a number of high-profile cases where vulnerable adults have not been protected by the services which are there to support them, and the joint Social Work Services Inspectorate and Mental Welfare Commission report into the failings of the local authority and the health board in the Borders in such a case has highlighted the need for robust joint working across not only health and social work but also the Police and independent providers. This multi-disciplinary approach is designed to address the abuse of vulnerable adults in community, hospital and group care settings. These procedures require any responsible person to act with regard to any information that comes to their attention which gives reasonable grounds to suspect that a vulnerable adult has been abused. In all instances these procedures will be followed by all agencies, units and establishments. These procedures and practice guidelines refer to cases where abuse has, or is believed to have, occurred and specific action is required to ensure the protection of the vulnerable person.
