iIs Climate Change a reality of the future? Is climate change a reality of the future? Climate change is happening right now without us even knowing about it. It is expected that climate change could cause the displacement of over 250 million people across the world by the year 2050.

So how will we stop this element of destruction from causing more damage to the world and the harsh reality it will leave behind? Evidence of this has occurred between 2008 and 2015 with an average of 26.4 million people per year displaced by climate change, or weather related disasters according to the United Nations. Because of the pure nature of climate change drastic trends are likely to get worse over the coming years. Scientists have already discovered that climate change is very significant and the impact it is having on the world is devastating. Scientists have found that because of climate change global sea levels have risen about 8 inches since 1880 and are expected to rise another 1-4 feet by 2100. This is the result of added water from melting ice and the expansion of seawater as it gets warmer. Hurricanes are another cause, as seen in the 2005 Hurricane Katrina which left a deadly path of destruction throughout the northern parts of America leaving over 1.5 million people displaced across many states leaving $125 billion dollars in damages.

These types of hurricanes are more likely to occur again as sea levels continue to rise. With stronger and more intense Hurricanes becoming more deadly. Droughts, wildfires and heat waves are other factors that are recurring more often now. This has caused many dryer regions to have longer periods of dry weather which could likely increase as warmer temperatures continue to rise.

As we all know climate change is a problem to the world and society. And you may feel like there’s nothing you can do to help. However, there are ways you can help to slow climate change down. For example, to fly less, as airplanes leave behind a huge carbon footprint into the atmosphere. This can be helped by considering better greener options like taking a bus or train or you could even go on holiday closer to home. Waste is another contributor to climate change. As it can produce a methane gas which can be toxic to the atmosphere.

You could also help by keeping rubbish out of landfills and composting kitchen scraps. Recycling of paper, plastic and glass can also be quite helpful when trying to slow down climate change. Also choosing renewable power like using solar panels for your home is a great way to help.

Solar panels are an eco-friendly source of power instead of using underground electricity from a power plant. So, what will you do to stop Climate Change, if you don’t do your part to help then things will get a lot worst for your future ahead. So what are you waiting for? Hurry up help and stop Climate Change
