Health Risk AssessmentNameInstitutionInstructorCourseDate Health Risk AssessmentResponding to my brother in-law who was told by his provider that he is at risk for cardiovascular disease but neglected the doctor’s advice and is not willing to change his eating habits will involve an explanation of what a health risk assessment means (Bickley, Szilagyi, ; Hoffman, 2017). A health risk assessment entails identifying any health risks, which have a high chance of developing in an individual. This assessment involves analyzing certain symptoms and health concerns, which are used to determine the health risk (Bickley, Szilagyi, ; Hoffman, 2017). A doctor uses this information collected from the patient to identify the health risk and not on his/her own sources.
Conclusions may be derived after using certain health risk assessment tools, which have been identified as reliable in providing accurate information to help healthcare practitioners in making informed decisions (Bickley, Szilagyi, ; Hoffman, 2017). This explanation will help the individual in understanding the health risk assessment process and its importance to an individual in improving his/her health. ReferencesBickley, L. S.
