Since mankind is created in God’s image as a case worker will have compassion for my clients. People with disabilities are often ignored and undeserved because of their infirmities. God calls us to serve others and have compassion for those who are unable to help themselves. We should do this not only because its what we are called to do as Christians but also because it brings glory to God. Author Elmer Towns made mention of this in his book with the statement “Evil Christians believe humanitarian efforts are good, even essential, there must be a higher reason for helping others.Christians believe they exist to glorify God and serve God.

One way of serving God is helping others. ” (Towns, 91) The idea of being compassionate is mentioned in the bible many times. In fact in Colombians 3:12, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
