Forrest Gump directed by Robert Zameckis is about Forest a man with low level of I.Q though he has a good heart with good intentions. His ‘Mama’ teaches him various ways of life, and lets Forest create his own path in life. Forrest wore braces on his legs when younger and even got shot, he still continues to be optimistic and still chases his dreams.
I think Forrest is quiet inspirational because each set back he has, he manages to turn it into something good. This film is also about the incidences that come about during his life, but for each incident he thinks back to Jenny, and how meaningful she is to him, though she’s the most difficult to unshackle.I trust that the character Forrest Gump teaches the audiense to treasure the minutes throughout our lives and to comprehend for what reason I’m doing what I’m doing. Particularly in situations that can influence other individuals. I highly reccomend this to be apart of a year 12 book club because I believe this film was very inspirational and motivating film to encourage audiences to try to be optimistic and open minded, because of the various techniques used to make an impact on the audiences.
This film had an impact on me and really made me think about life it self. The way the film delivered itself made me actually see Forrest as myself because, I see myself as very optimistic in every situation in life. I believe that this book inspires audincew to look for the imperfections witin themselves and strive to be less selfish. One of my my favourite quotes from the very beginning is ‘my Momma always said life was like a box of chocolates you never what you’re gonna get”. This was one of my favourite quotes because it gets you thinking and is so true when it comes to life in my opinion. If you receive a box of chocolates, you know what it is, but you don’t know what it actually could be filled with.
For an example you may like dark chocolate, milk, white, fruits, nuts etc but you won’t know what you’ve got until you bite into it. Now that’s the same with life. The box judging by the outside we know its chocolate. But then you open it then we have a whole range of colours shapes, sizes and flavours you don’t know what your going to get. Until you take a bite the enigma then unravels itself and you’ll find out in time, while you are living.
Thats life. You take a bit and don’t know what your gonna expect, your going to take a bite whether you like it or not. This applies to life because you don’t know how any day is going to play out, until you’ve lived it. After this quote the film immediately caught my attention. Throughout the movie everyone that FOrrest holds close to his hearrt ends up dying. The way that I saw this was that every person he loved and died, a part of Forrest also died.
I see Forressts pain, and that there is nothing that can help heal. I beleiev that ijn this film Forrest teaches us taht a part of us may die with a loved one. Despite that, taht doesn’t stop life from coming back to us. I also believ that the lesson that Forrest is here to teach is that one shouldn’t let heart-break or loss’ take complete control over your life. FOrrest even accepts taht you can never do anything about ones death.
He says “Momma alwways said dy8ing was a part of life” the he says “I sure wish it wasn’t”. Forrest struggles with seeing those he loves to have illness’ and war and to sometimes fall in random attacks. The time of the setting of this movie was when MArtin Luther was sround.
During this time Martin Luther stood up for one of the greatest conflicts and is still remembered, til;l this day. Steve Jobs also said that “no one wants yo die. Even people who want to go to heaven dont want to die to get there. And yet death is a destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it.
And that as it should be, because Death is very liekly the single best invenion of life. It is LOIfes CHange ageent. It clears out the old to make way for the new”. I think that this qote shows that the loss on someone is inevitable, you cant do anything about it. One day we all will pass.
We can try to avoid it, but it will catch up to us.
