But falling for someone who is much more desirable than oneself, whether because of physical beauty or attributes like charm, intelligence, wit or status. “Prone to find their love one sided” and that such relations are falling apart. (Dr. Roy Baumeister). and According to some psychologists, opposites do attract, but it is not possible to attract those whose moral values are different.

According to the research the different types of the one-sided love are about four times more frequent than the mutual love relationship common examples of such relationship range from celebrity crushes, crushes on taken parties and infidelity in established relationship (Bringle et Al) the usual understanding of one sided love, however is generally one-sided yearning for a relationship with an unavailable or uninterested partner. Because of its prevalence, researcher have been drawn to study the effects of the one-sided love on the person experiencing it. and The manifestations that researchers have observed include insomnia and rumination, that may lead to more detrimental effects such as irregular heart symptoms and depression in more severe cases (Field 382-383).

One sided love refers to instances when one person (the would-be lover) feels romantic, passionate feelings for an individual who does not return the same feelings (the rejector). In today’s generation, loving someone is one of the most vulnerable positions in which can be. You open your heart to another person and your best wish is for him or her to love you in return. Unfortunately, life is not like Telenovela, love isn’t always reciprocated, and it doesn’t always end in a happily ever after. In this Research indicates that one sided love is quite common, Having been in this situation, selected individuals has experiencing the effects of one sided love. Consequently, a question on the how one sided love developed and the effects of the one-sided love among selected individuals involved whether they can manage it. In order to answer the problem in this study aims to determine how one-sided love developed and what is the effects to selected individuals.

THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

Psychoanalytic Theory – the theory of personality organization and the dynamics
of personality development.

Sigmund Freud ( 1923) proposed that single most enduring and important idea was that the human psyche (personality). created structural model of the mind the id, ego, and superego, the id is the component of personality that is highly biological and instinctual. Additionally, the id operates on the pleasure principle which is the idea that every wishful impulse should be satisfied immediately, regardless of the consequences. originates in an unpleasant state of tension and there upon determines for itself such a path that its ultimate issue coincides with a relaxation of this tension. The ego, “part of the id modified by part of the perceptual system.” Therefore, as the perceptual system become more defined, one will be perceptive of certain drives that he or she may have. Further, the ego does not fully capture the id, there is also another important aspect known as the superego. This superego is a conscious understanding of the “ego-ideal,” and can create guilt within an individual. The interaction between these three forces accounts for the greater whole of human actions.

Scope and limitation

This research will focus on how one sided love developed and to the effects of one sided love among selected individuals of Brgy. Paltok San Francisco Del Monte Quezon, City, In addition, the researchers will determine which has the higher tendency of developing the one sided love.
The information will be gathered using checklist style research made questionnaire and all the conclusion drawn from this study were obtained among selected individuals of Brgy. Paltok San Francisco Del Monte, Quezon City.

Significance of the study

This study will helped the selected individuals to know the perception of how one sided love developed that the result may not be the same as there is no guarantee of being reunited with their lovers in such cases and to know the effects of one sided love in their life. and for the next generation of youth will helped to understand this kind of matter when there is a times they were going to experience it. and lastly, for the next researcher that will do this kind of research, it will help them to include or become their basis.

Definition of Terms

For better clarification and understanding of the terms related to study, The following terms are defined conceptually and operationally

One sided love – This refers to when love story where one has no control over the feelings and emotion. The horrible and horrifying feeling of falling in love alone. loving that boy/girl without the satisfaction of receiving their love in return
Reciprocated – This refers to mutual feelings; The other person feels or behaves in the same way towards you as you have felt or behaved towards them.
Rejector – This refers to the one who can’t love in return; To refuse to consider or grant; deny
Wit or Status – This refers to the outcome that will result to one sided love; The position of an individual in relation to another or other.
Would-be lover – This refers to the one who love but never get love in return; One who loves another, especially one who is involved in a romantic or sexual relationship with another.
