Effective communication is essential for creating positive relationships with the children, young people and adults you are working with. Effective communication is important because it helps to build trusting relationships with both students and staff so you are all able to work together efficiently and effectively. It will also enable you to build respect between you and the students and staff at the school, this will have a positive effect and will create a positive environment which will prevent negative behaviour from occurring. If communication is not affective it will create negative relationships and so a negative environment which may have a bad effect on not only those in the bad relationship but also those who are around the bad relationship. This will not provide a good working environment for anyone and may cause distractions and a lack of learning.
