Mentoring is biased in your favor. Coaching is impartial, focused on improvement in behavior. A mentor can give advice and partners free to pick and choose what to do.
I really enjoyed being mentor. For example, your direct reports may be getting everything they need, while your peer group may tell you that they need something other than what they are getting now. So you know where to keep doing what you are doing now, and where to make some changes. That helps you prioritize things.While coaching is when you act as a coach, you are giving your employees your time and attention ND, more importantly, you are helping them master their work and grow their own knowledge and skills.

Supervisors can do coaching and mentoring by helping their employees discover the answer themselves. It is unlocking an employee’s potential to maximize their own performance, helping them to learn rather than teaching them. By using a coaching skills you also giving your employees your time and attention and, more importantly, you are helping them master their work and grow their own knowledge and skills.It is very important in a work place. First of all, as mentioned before as a coach you have to support the client’s goals and methods of assessing process. These goals should meet four requirements: they should be measurable, specific, realistic, and behavioral. For a goal to be measurable, the client have to be able to ascertain whether it was or was not achieved at some point during the program. A specific goal specifies when the behavior will take place (e.
G. , on specified days of the week or times during any given day), while a realistic goal is one that can actually be achieved.Secondly, asking good questions is productive, positive, creative, and can get us what we want.
So, communication is a key to maximizing the employee’s work performance. A Supervisor will find it much easier to compare an employees work to a standard that is preset. This makes if fair across the board as each employee is being evaluated because the same standards are being used for each of them. In order to do this the supervisor has to remain diligent in observing the employee and also verifying their work when filling out the evaluation.As far as everyone having an attitude, I am sure that everyone has had one during the course of their job, but just because you have one does not mean it needs to be displayed.
When upset you have to keep level headed or your attitude can get out of hand and you end up being insubordinate. Also agree with term that the success of a company is based on the work of the employees. Lastly, you spend more time at work than you do awake at home. And typically, work environments are very goal oriented. Some people argue that getting goals motivates people.
This is of course not true.
