In China, Men outnumber women by several million, this is the after effect of decades of gender bias in the country of China. The gender imbalance in China is the most serious in the world. In 1980 China formally established “the one-child” policy, in this time period the new regime of Chinese leaders believed that forcing a restriction on population growth would help to increase the country’s economic prosperity. As you could probably guess by the name of the policy, its purpose was to limit each family to one child.
