In fact, the researcher’s curiosity with therelationship between the worlds of architecture and film was first evoked byepic movie, The Shining from one ofthe most influential directors of cinematic history – Stanley Kubrick. BACKGROUND Indian Cinemahistory can be traced back to 1896.

Three major film centers were developed inIndia, Bombay, Calcutta and Madras. Music became as an important ingredient inIndian Cinema.DhandirajGovind Phadke, famously known as Dadasaheb Phadke inaugurated Indian Cinemawith Raja Harishchandra in 1913, India’s first feature film to be shot with anentirely Indian crew.Similarly, historical epics,legendary romances and filmed biographies, the other principal genres thatemerged before the birth of Indian Talkies, grew in frequency and strength in1930s and 1940s. In such a way, the film industry in India started expandingand hence the MINISTRY OF INFORMATION AND BROADCASTNG decided to set up FTII(Film and Television Institute of India) in 1960.
